Worn by Shan Yichun
Chinese singer Shan Yichun wore Look 21 from SHAO’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Futures of the Past: Chrome Legacy, for her performance on National Music Unrivaled.

Shan first rose to national attention after winning The Voice of China / Sing! China 2020, where her emotional vocals and controlled delivery quickly set her apart. Since then, she has become known for a voice that feels both delicate and powerful, with performances that often rely on restraint rather than spectacle.
Look 21 on Stage
For National Music Unrivaled, Look 21 takes on a softer performance energy. Rather than overpowering the stage, the look works with Shan’s presence: composed, focused, and quietly expressive.

The styling brings SHAO SS26 into a live music setting, where the garment is shaped by movement, lighting, and sound. Details that might feel sharp on the runway become more fluid on stage, giving the look a different kind of emotion.
The Design
Look 21 features the Sage Green Utility Anorak Jacket Dress, a sculptural piece defined by a high neckline, zip-front closure, and structured shoulders. Fitted through the body and finished with a gathered lower panel, the silhouette balances restrained utility with soft volume and movement.

The piece has a protective, almost armor-like quality at first glance, but the shape softens as it moves. The gathered hem gives the dress a sense of ease, while the clean front closure and high neck keep the look sharp. In sage green, the utility reference feels quieter and more refined, less military and more modern.
On stage, those contrasts come through clearly. The dress feels structured without looking heavy, and the volume at the lower body gives Shan room to move while keeping the overall image controlled. It is a look built on tension: practical details, sculptural shape, and a softness that only appears once the garment is in motion.
A Different Side of Chrome Legacy
Within Futures of the Past: Chrome Legacy, SHAO explores the meeting point between classic references and future-facing detail. On Shan Yichun, that idea feels more intimate.

Her performance style gives the collection a new context. The look feels polished, but not cold. Modern, but still human. It shows how SHAO SS26 can move beyond the runway and into a moment built around voice, feeling, and atmosphere.
Performance as Context
This moment places Look 21 in a setting where clothing does more than complete an image. It becomes part of the performance.

Worn by Shan Yichun, the look reflects the mood of the stage while carrying the collection’s sense of structure and restraint. It is a quieter kind of statement, but one that still feels distinctly SHAO.
