Chinese rapper Wang Yitai wears SHAO AW26 Look 18 in the music video for his new single, The Gale Knows.
Released on August 13, 2026, the track was created through a music collaboration between China Jingjiu and NetEase Cloud Music centered on music, resilience and personal well-being.
Built around the imagery of strong winds, wild grass and moving forward through uncertainty, the track frames resilience not as resistance to pressure, but as the ability to keep moving through it.
For the visual, Wang wears one of the defining menswear silhouettes from SHAO AW26.

Wang Yitai in SHAO AW26 Look 18
Wang appears in SHAO AW26 Look 18, pairing the Tailored Wool Balloon Bomber Jacket in Burgundy with the Charcoal Pinstripe Layered Wrap Trousers , black leather gloves and narrow sunglasses.
The bomber is constructed with a sculpted high collar and exaggerated volume through the body, bringing the language of traditional menswear into a silhouette that feels more protective than conventional.
Against the charcoal pinstripe trousers, the deep burgundy creates a controlled contrast. Formal codes remain visible, but their proportions have been shifted.
The result is distinctly SHAO: tailoring that carries authority without relying on the structure of a traditional suit.
From Underworld Royale to the Music Video
Look 18 first appeared in Underworld Royale: Darkness Under Neon Lights , SHAO’s AW26 collection.
The collection draws from the atmosphere and visual codes of 1990s Hong Kong cinema, using strong shoulders, elongated proportions, dark wool tailoring and leather to explore clothing as protection, identity and presence.
On Wang Yitai, that language moves beyond the runway and into contemporary Chinese music.
The high collar frames the face while the volume of the bomber creates a strong upper silhouette. The charcoal pinstripe trousers retain the familiarity of classic menswear but disrupt it through their crossover wrap front, layered construction and elongated proportion. It is a look built around controlled tension: formal and utilitarian, restrained and oversized, familiar and altered.
The Gale Knows
The Gale Knows was released as part of a wider music project developed by China Jingjiu and NetEase Cloud Music. Wang Yitai joined the project alongside other Chinese musicians, including Lin Yilun, Gebi Laofan and Curley G.
Rather than treating adversity as something to escape, the song uses the image of powerful wind as a metaphor for the pressures encountered while moving through life.
That idea gives SHAO AW26 Look 18 a particularly fitting visual context.
The silhouette holds its structure. The collar rises around the body. The tailoring remains precise while the proportions move beyond convention.
Clothes designed to hold their ground.
